Victoria Fik, M.OMSc
Osteopathic Manual Therapist
Victoria Fik is a Canadian trained non-physician Osteopathic Manual Practitioner dedicated to helping her patients restore proper body mechanics, helping them to improve their mobility and sustain a healthier lifestyle.
Her journey started at Wilfrid Laurier University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology (B.A) and developed a specific interest in the interconnected body structures and systems. Her background as a dance instructor, together with her interest in the structure and function of the human body led her to completing a four year post-graduate program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and Holistic Health Sciences. Here she earned her Masters in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc). Victoria built a foundational understanding of clinic operations during her time at the supervised student clinic and gained the first-hand experience needed to practice safely, effectively and ethically.
She is well equipped with extensive knowledge in functional anatomy & physiology and uses the traditional principles of osteopathy to deliver a gentle, yet effective, osteopathic manual treatment. Each treatment is personal to every patient and will address mechanical or neural compression to circulation in the body, and will assist her patients in their ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
Victoria is keen to work with patients of all ages, ranging from infancy to elderly. She is passionate about educating her clients on how the pelvic floor, diaphragm and the core has an effect on posture, helping the patient to be an active participant in their own healing. She is happy and excited to serve the nourish community!
Outside of work, Victoria is passionate about the mind-body connection and loves to deepen that alignment through meditation, movement and reading. She loves to entertain, so cooking a meal for her friends & family and playing a board game is a perfect way to spend her night off.
